Antonov AN-24 ‘Coke’

First developed in 1958 to replace large numbers of piston-engined twins used on internal routes in the Soviet Union, and made its maiden flight in April 1960. Service entry with Aeroflot took place in September 1963. Type later license-produced in China as the Y-7. Total delivered: 1,000+.
